So, admittedly, we haven't been writing too much lately. Sorry. But that just means we've been busy on other things. Like, first and foremost, finalizing a really amazing Fall collection for you lovely ladies. We're really excited about this one. We shot the campaign last week and well, we're stoked. Keep an eye out for another post on that. And then there's family life. September is always a little cray as kids settle back into school (you'll see!). On the one hand you're like "yay more free time during the day", but well, you kinda miss the little guys too. And they miss you. Like sleep regression miss you. Yikes. But it's given us a chance to get out and meet a lot of new folks. In the last month, we've participated/attended three major events. So, here goes...
FIRST, WE MET SOME PREGGERS AT THE PREGNANT NEW YORKER.
This super informative and laid-back event took place at the Yummy Mummy store in NYC's Upper East Side. A group of 20 or so pregnant gals came by to get their antenatal questions answered. Among others, there was a lactation expert, a nutritionist, a pregnancy massage therapist, a nanny agency...and us! We were kinda the least serious ones there but it worked out :) The mamas-to-be were great and we got to show off some of our new Fall styles on them. It was a lot of fun. And no big deal, a camera crew was filming us. All day that day. We're being featured in a segment on French television. Yeah, I just threw that in there. More on it later. Merci. But here we are in all our glory telling the ladies about how to keep it stylin' when nursing. And oh look, sneak peak at our new Eva top.
NEXT, WE MADE THE ROUNDS AT AN AWESOME MOTHERMAG AND ANNIE'S HOMEGROWN COLLABORATIVE EVENT
This was a super stylish event hosted by the two power houses to promote some of Annie's new products. It was in a very cool space in Brooklyn's Dumbo neighborhood. The kids came and had a blast. They got some (very intricate) animal balloons made, designed macaroni necklaces, and got lots and lots of free delicious snacks and goodies. Score. They were thrilled and we met a lot of really interesting people. Don't you love it when that works out? Here we are (in action) with our friends being all sorts of silly.
AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST, WE DID OUR FIRST TRADE SHOW!
We set up our little table at Brooklyn BabyFest this past weekend. This event took place in Williamsburg/Greenpoint and attracted tons of new and expectant moms. And in case you've been living under a rock, this hood is cool-town. We loved meeting all the stylish moms and dads and getting their thoughts on some of our new Fall pieces. Kind of hard to be away from the family on a Sunday but well worth it. Here we are looking very proud in front of our booth (yeah, we brought fresh flowers - gotta keep it classy!).
Did we meet any of you along the way? Let us know!
Love, AlletteRead More
